Types of Grasses

The most common type of grass found at the Meadows is Yorkshire Fog. This grass is common throughout Britain on pastures, roadsides and waste-ground. It grows in all sorts soil. Yorkshire Fog is characterised by it's pinkish, purplish colour.

Other sorts of grass that we found were; Velvet Bentgrass and False Oats. We saw all sorts of other grasses but they are very difficult to identify.
