Member wins prestigious national award
We can proudly boast that one of our founder members (and current Chairman), John Leighton, won a national sports volunteer award for his work with disabled sport.
This award is sponsored by Nationwide Building Society and reflects the dedication and effort that is needed to maintain disabled sport within the UK.
We consider this an enormous achievement for a member of a small Yorkshire charity to win such a prestigious national award. Well done to John for all the hard work he puts in and for continuing to provide help to the disabled.
We now have more members taking part in more sports and in more leagues than at any time in our clubs history and we thank you for helping to make this happen.
