Westgate Chapel is Wakefield's oldest Non-conformist meeting house, dating from 1752. It has been Unitarian in character since the late 18 century.
Its services are held each Sunday, at 10.30am on the first Sunday of each month, at 3pm on the remaining Sundays in the winter months, and at 6pm on the remaining Sundays from June-August. Ministers or lay people conduct rites of passage - naming ceremonies, weddings, the blessing of same-sex partnerships, and funerals - which reflect the beliefs of those who ask for them.
