The next meeting of the Society on
Tuesday, 21 April, will welcome Dave
Newman, a specialist on the art of
Bonsai. Dave will give an insight into
the cultivation and care of these
plants in miniature, with
demonstrations of techniques and
methods used to obtain the fascinating
forms seen at shows, etc. While
growing bonsai looks and sounds
complicated, it is in fact well within
the capacity of anyone and well suited
to those with limited space. Anyone
wishing to try their hand at this
unusual form of horticulture will be
able to buy plants, pots and other
equipment on the night.
The meeting starts at Outwood Memorial
Hall, at 7pm and we will be delighted
to see any guests who would like an
insight to this topic and
fancies ‘having a go’.
