Wakefield Library Readers Group

A picture for Wakefield-Library-Readers-Group

Wakefield Library Readers Group exists to promote and celebrate reading in the Wakefield Area.

  • Our group meets on the second Monday every month (except August), 7pm - 9pm.
  • We read and discuss a book a month and run occasional author events, visits and poetry readings.
  • Generally women outnumber men but both sexes are well represented and ages range from twenties to eighties.
  • Books are provided by the library. We read contemporary and classic fiction and occasional non-fiction titles.
  • Phone or email for more information - or just turn up on the night. New members are always welcome.

For more information about readers’ groups in our area, contact Wakefield Drury Lane Library either in person, by telephone on 01924 305376 or by email at drurylanelibrary@wakefield.gov.uk.
