Wakefield Library Readers Group

A picture for Wakefield-Library-Readers-Group

Wakefield Library Readers Group is for Wakefield people who like to read, enjoy and talk about books.

  • Our group meets on the second Monday every month (except August), 7pm - 9pm.
  • In the new Coffee Bar on the ground floor of Unity House, Westgate, Wakefield, WF1 1EP
  • We read and discuss a book a month and run occasional author events, visits and poetry readings.
  • Generally women outnumber men but both sexes are well represented and ages range from twenties to eighties.
  • Books are provided by the library. We read contemporary and classic fiction and occasional non-fiction titles.
  • Phone or email for more information - or just turn up on the night. New members are always welcome.
  • Parking is free in the Unity Works car park on Smyth Street SATNAV: WF1 1ED

For more information about readers’ groups in our area, contact Wakefield Library either in person, by telephone on 01924 302210 or by email at lib.admin@wakefield.gov.uk
