Founded in 1987 by Faith and Alec Sykes this club has established a National reputation for putting on Jazz of the highest order in a friendly club setting. Running on Fridays at Wakefield Sports Club on Eastmoor Rd. WF1 3RR it is very easy to find.
There is usually food available before each gig from about 7:00pm and occasionally a support set from young local musicians starts at 7:30pm. The main band plays from 8:30pm finishing shortly after 11:00pm. Entrance is pay-at-the-door and tickets are also available online, normally £12.00 to £15.00, with conc.s for the unwaged, students and disabled. Under 14s get in free except for our occasional "all-ticket" events. It is a no-smoking venue.
