The Yorkshire & the Humber region sends six members to the European Parliament, elected under a system of party-list proportional representation.

Elections to the European Parliament are held every five years, the next is on Thursday June 11 2009.

Jonathan Dixon, Martin Hemingway, Shan Oakes, Rick Rolt, Leslie Rowe and Kevin Warnes are standing for the Green Party in Yorkshire & the Humber.

There has to be a general election by Thursday June 3 2010.
