A Team outing, to clear scrub from the heathland area of Seckar Wood, was organised for Saturday 20 November 2010.

As is usual on such occasions the weather was sympathetic to our cause and although somewhat grey overhead the sunny smiles of the participants made up for the lack of blue skies !!! (if you doubt me look at the photograph)

By the end of the day a large area had been cleared and the resulting pile of debris, left tidily at the side of the path for collection by Staff from the Natural Environment Section, paid tribute to the commitment of the volunteers involved.

We look forward to our next project and although it may seem like hard work, be assured that it is an enjoyable way of passing a few hours whilst contributing a little to the local community.
