Wakefield Concert Society has been established over 45 years and is run by a small but dedicated voluntary committee. The Society promotes six chamber concerts each season which runs from October to March. All concerts are held on Saturdays in the Jubilee Hall at Wakefield Girls High School starting at 7.30 p.m.
We aim for a wide mix of instruments and programmes, incorporating well- known and loved pieces and introducing audiences to some lesser known works. All our artists are of a high professional standard and some have international reputations, such as this season's opening concert with the multi- prizewinning Russian Quartet, the Atrium and a concert by the well-known guitarist, Craig Ogden, who will be performing with Judith Hall on flute.
