2013 programme

PRESIDENT'S NIGHT.

To be held on Friday18 October 2013 in New Brookhouse Club

A celebration of the 60th anniversary of the formation of Wakefield Caledonian Society on 17 October 1953.

A thee course meal and entertainment by Deidre Adamson, accordian player from Forfar will make up the night

President's reception will start at 6.45pm and everyone will be seated by 7.30pm for the meal to commence. The music will commence at approx 9.15 in two 45 minute sessions and the evening will finish at 11.00pm. A fixed menu has been chosen and details can be obtained from Norma Redfearn when enquiries about places are made.

The cost of the evening has been set at 20.00

ST. ANDREW'S NIGHT.

An evening of Scottish music and dancing to be held in St. Ignatious church hall, Ossett on Saturday 23 November. Dancing will start at 8.oopm and a buffet supper will be available about half way through the event. Last dance will be just before 11.00pm.

Te cost of the evening will be 6.00.

SOCIETY CHRISTMAS lUNCH.

This will be held at Gaskell's Restaurant in Wakefield College on 17 December 2013. Everyone meets at the restaurant at 12.00 for service to srart at 12.30. The cost is still to be established.

BARNSLEY and DISTRICT SCOTTISH SOCIETY.

Traditional Burns Supper to be held at the Holiday Inn, Barnsley on 24 January 2014. Costs and timings to be decided.

OSSETT COMMUNITY CENTRE BURN'S SUPPER.

Music by the St. Raphael singers and Scottish dance demonstrations and some join in dancing led by Wakefield Caledonian Society dancers precede a traditional Burn's supper meal.

to be held in Ossett Community centre.

The evening will start at 7.00pm and finish at approx 10.30pm.

Cost to be decided.
