Gareth Butler

Butler played the whole of the Summer 2006 season displaying blistering pace at the back only ever being outpaced by a 40-something grey haired bloke... oh and everyone else apart from the 20 stoner up front for N-Power.
Butler was a calming influence on the team often starting fights and jumping on the floor, mild mannered in defeat and gracious in victory he went out in a blaze of sour grapes in the cup final building up a HHH wrestling style bad-guy image with the crowd.

Involvement - Summer 06 season
Position - Def
Reason retired - Insanity
Loss to the team - Calming influence.

'Fun Time' Frank Butler

'Fun Time' was anything but during his tenure as WMDC keeper during the summer 06 season.
Made a series of fantastic saves throughout the season that belied his senior years. Could often be seen barking orders at disinterested players and giving Alex Ferguson style half time team talks. No knees.

Involvement - Summer 06 season
Position - GK
Reason retired - No knees/loss of voice
Loss to the team - Team talks.

Stephen Harper

Harper is easily the worse player to grace our fine team. An absolute joke in his one game he didnt even pay for his shirt and it took about a 3 weeks to get it back, not that it fit him.
After being utterly embarassed by a fat slow opposition player and failing to sell any loans he trundled off never to return. shame.

Involvement - 1 Game
Position - None
Reason retired - Useless
Loss to the team - Financial Advice...at a cost.

Pete Trevor

Pete can claim he was part of the cup final team of 2006, although he only played 1 game.
Veteran Pete was drafted in to rest a few players in the cup group stages and made a decent fist of it. Several slide tackles and shots over the fence later he had his one and only outing in the competition but went away a happy man, well done Pete.

Involvement - 1 cup game
Position - Def
Reason retired - Surplus to requirements
L oss to the team - fast looking but yet slow run.
