Barge Cruise 2011

S I Wakefield's members and friends recently enjoyed a barge cruise on boats hired from Safe Anchor Trust which is based on the canal at Mirfield. Two boats were hired, the new big one and a smaller one. On board the big boat drinks were available and when the cruise reached the half way stage all then enjoyed a supper of hot pie and peas. The rain ceased as the boats left their moorings and the cruise took place in sunshine and blue skies until the sun set. All enjoyed the evening and it is hoped to repeat the event another year.
