RAA AIMS

AIMS. To promote and foster Gunner welfare and comradeship. Welfare is the concern of every member of the Association. Comradeship is fostered by the Branch and Ladies Section by having social events and meetings throughout the year, and its affiliation to other Gunner organisations throughout the world.For ex-Gunners and their families and friends, Branches provide a focus for social activities and practical assistance if needed.

WHO MAY JOIN ?

Full membership is open to Gunners of any rank who are serving, or who have served in any Headquarters or Unit of the Royal Artillery or in the Artillery of a Commonwealth country. In addition, wives and husbands married to their spouses during their service with the Royal Artillery (Gunner cap-badged) and wives and husbands that are presently married to members of the RAA can join as full members and are entitled to hold "Office" in the Branch, if so elected. Members of other Corps/Regts who have served on the posted strength of any Headquarters or Unit of the Royal Artillery may apply for full membership. Serving Gunners who subscribe to the Royal Artillery Charitable Fund are full members of the Association whilst they are serving are known as 'Serving members'. Associate membership of the Association is open to members and ex members of the British Armed Forces or any civilian who has Gunner interests at heart. Honorary membership may be granted to other ex- servicemen or women, wives, widows and relations or any person who have Gunner interests at heart. Honorary membership of the Association is solely preseved for local dignitaries and benefactors.
