Events for 2008
ST BARBARA'S DAY CELEBRATION 2008
This year’s event will again be held
at Alverthorpe WMC on Saturday 29th
November commencing at 11.45am.
Details are yet to be finalised but we
will have the Dearne Big Band to
provide some more first class
entertainment. Military guest of honour
is Brigadier Alan Gordon. Mayor and
consort along with RAA memsec
attending. Invites have been sent out
to known Branches, but you don't need
an invite to attend. Former Gunners
especially welcome. Dress
blazers/lounge suit, medals.

Friday 1st AUGUST
Dog racing at Kinsley, transport
leaves Alverthorpe WMC at 6.15pm. MK
organising.
SATURDAY 7th JUNE
Mayor of Wakfield's Civic Parade and
service. Form up outside Town Hall at
10.30hrs. Blazer and decorations. KM
has details.
SATURDAY 14th JUNE
Veterans Day, Royal Armouries, Leeds.
KM organising. Own transport.
WEDNESDAY 2nd JULY
5 Regt Family, Presentation & Race
Day, Catterick. Mini bus leaves
Alverthorpe WMC at 12noon
