A picture for Re-Connect

ABOUT US: Re-Connect is a voluntary organisation which is a registered charity working to meet the needs of older people, by working in partnership with both the statutory and voluntary sectors to improve the lives and services for the elderly. Re-Connect was established in 2002 following research by Age Concern Wakefield District, which identified there were many older people who had lost contact with their local communities and felt isolated, which was having an impact upon their health and well being.

Mission Statement: The relief of persons over the age of 50 in West Wakefield, by the provision of support, advice and other services to assist them in their independent living, relieve their social isolation, promote their good health and improve their quality of life.

PQASSO: The project holds a Certificate of Best Practice, in recognition of their commitment to maintaining high standards in the voluntary and community sector, through the implementation of the Practical Quality Assurance System for Small Organisations.
