Pease Park re-development stages 1,2 & 3 took place in 2010 to upgrade play facilities, seating and pathways. This was ran by a Steering Group made up of local residents and Pontefract Community Partnership. Along with guidance and assistance from Wakefield Council, the park is how you see it today; a new centralised play area with a quality pathwork network throughout the park. The whole park is fenced with 'K' style gates at it's 4 entrances allowing disabled access but detering motor vehicles. Th photo's on this page are of the Re-opening Gala in May 2010 and since then a Friends' group has been formed to manage and develop the park further.
