Deep in the secret depths of Haw Park Wood is the Pixie Village - in need of help.

The willing helpers climbed aboard a Friend's truck for a lift to the Wood.

It was a cold, wet morning so the ride was very welcome.

First we followed Ranger Dave to see the old village site.

Small legs had to work hard, stomping through the undergrowth.

At last. One of the little homes is located ... and suddenly they seem to be everywhere.

These homes will stay in place when the new village has been made.

The intrepid explorers want everyone to see what they have found.

We wondered if we could find them again with no Ranger to show us where to look.

Off we go again, to find a suitable site for the new village.

Ranger Dave leads the band of helpers deep into the wood.

Once a site is found, Dave unpacks the new doors.

These have been specially made and donated for the Fairies, Elves and Pixies of Haw Park Wood.
