On Sunday October 22nd some Friends of Haw Park Wood went along with Countryside Ranger, Dave Mee, to 'meet the wood' and 'make a difference'. Dave pointed out various trees and explained about 'ride management'.

Paths and tracks in the woodland are being widened to let more light through to the ground and encourage biodiversity.
|
On the way back from the walk Friends collected litter from beside the paths and in the hedgerows. This was part of the Community Service Volunteers "make a difference" day and everyone who took part received a certificate.
