As one in three of us are touched in some way by someone close to us who has cancer, Dr Jackson’s is a charity that helps to make a positive impact on those lives. We are a well established and independant charity that raises funds to provide faster and better cancer care for local people across Pontefract, Wakefield and Dewsbury. The charity has bought a range of specialist equipment and helped relatives and patients who have had the disease. We promote research into the treatment and prevention of cancer and, in conjunction with staff at the Mid Yorkshire Trust, have helped to finance the introduction of successful new techniques.
