Crofton Carnival 2008
The Carnival now in it's 8th year will
be held on Saturday 21st June 2008 at
Crofton Community Centre. The theme for
the 2008 Carnival and Procession will
be Holidays so be sure to pack you
grass skirt, the Carnival Procession
will leave the Millennium Stone at 12
noon towards the community Centre.
The Carnival starts at 12:45 when the
Carnival Procession arrives at Crofton
Community Centre, this years Carnival
and judging of the Fancy Dress
Procession will be in the hands of: Out
Of Press Soon.
Arena Events: Crofton Starlighting
Majorettes, K9 Dog Display Team,
Samantha's School of Dance, Wakefield
Wildcat Dance Troupe, Crofton Silver
Band, Street People Dance Group and the
Mad Professor and new for this year
tradition Punch and Judy Shows.
Over 28 Stalls have now booked space at
the Carnival, the field will be full of
Craft, Health, Information, Raffle and
Tombola Stall as-well as Wakefield
Metropolitan District Council Energy
Team and Library Service and Wakefield
and District Housing Access Point.
Carnival Programmes are now on sale for
50p available from Crofton Community
Centre, Crofton Library, New Crofton
Post Office, Ashdene Stores (Asdene
Approach) and Wakefield Council Tourist
Information.
