Twenty three members attended the Annual General Meeting on 6th July.
The existing management committee was re-elected for another year and a number of additional members volunteered to help at future events.
Thanks were expressed to the committee for all their hard work throughout the year - establishing the Art Group and organising an interesting and varied programme.
Thanks also went to Crofton Community Centre staff for providing an excellent venue and for their ongoing help and support; Gerry Dickinson for his work as auditor and help with the Crofton village website; Cynthia for publicity on the Wakefield District Communities On-line website that holds informative news about the group.
The awarding bodies were also thanked for grants received during the year, namely DIVA (Developing Initiative in Voluntary Arts); Age Concern; WMDC Community Chest, with the help of Cllr Maureen Cummings. It was noted that the group would not have been successful without all this help nor the ongoing support of all members.
The AGM was followed by a delicious strawberry cream tea provided by the Community Centre. There was also a viewing of members' paintings and drawings produced throughout the year. The group now looks forward to a new programme of activities commencing in September.
