December 17 was the date for the 2010 Winter Social at Sandal Sports Centre
At 4.30pm Art Group members gathered in the hall ....
... sitting at tables and chatting with friends
They got their drinks from the bar .....
... and used spare time to buy tickets for the raffle and tombola
As is now traditional, Peter entertained everyone with an 'Arty' quiz.
The first prize-winners scored 16 points ....
There were two in second place so the runners-up had a tie-break question.
Members were invited to bring a painting with a Christmas theme
These were arranged at the back of the hall ...
... so everyone could take a good look .....
... and vote for their favourite.
Choosing just one from such a selection ....
.... was no easy task
... and took quite a while.
Then came the vote-counting.
The three top favourites were painted by Chris, Ruth and John.
Everyone tucked in to a 'faith tea' - a fantastic array of sweet and savoury dishes brought in by members.
Then the raffle prizes were drawn - there were two hampers ...
... and several other items to be won. All in all an excellent evening.
With a Big Thank You to Chris and Jan for all their work throughout the year.
