Visit to Patchings 07

We have had another excellent outing, this time to the Patchings Art, Craft and Design Festival in Nottinghamshire.

It was a lovely day for visiting the exhibitions, demonstrations and stalls in the marquees, and for sitting out to eat our picnic lunch while the jazz band played.

We went to a watercolour demonstration by renowned artist, David Bellamy, who painted a Cambridgeshire landscape.

One marquee was filled with craftwork of every description - jewellery, ceramics, textiles, glass-painting, glass-work, rug-making, metalwork and woodwork. Another had stalls selling everything you might ever need, and some even let you try out their products before buying.

Time ran out all too quickly; next year we wll plan for a longer stay.
