My Diary for July 2008

The first week is dominated by the annual Castleford Heritage Festival.

July 3, Castleford Parish Church. Opening of the festival by Winnie McLoughlin. 4pm.
|
July 4 pm. Opening of the new footbridge over the river by the leader of the Council, Councillor Peter Box.
July 4 evening. Meeting of community and church leaders in Castleford to discuss ways of working together.
July 5 10.30 am to 3.30 pm, 40s day in Castleford Town Centre. Plenty of 40s entertainment including George Formbys.
Throughout this time there are exhibitions in the Carlton Lanes shopping centre and at the library on Carlton Street.
