Cloverleaf Advocacy

Who are we ? Cloverleaf Advocacy has been helping people who have mental health needs to get their views across since 1995. Our service is free, confidential and independant.

What is an Advocate?. An advocate is someone independant of services who is on your side and can: 1. Help you find information 2. Talk things through to find out what you want to say. 3. Support you at meetings and appointments and help you say what you want. 4.Help you talk to proffesionals.

What kind of things could an advocate help you with? 1. if you are unhappy with your care and treatment. 2. If you need support in making a complaint. 3. If you want to find out what has been written down about you. 4. If you disagree with dicisions that are being made about you. 5. If you need help to understand what your rights are, especially if you have been detained in hospital against your will. 6. If you want to find information about mental health issues and your own particular illness. 7. If you need help to get in touch with other support services in the area.
