BECOMING A PATRON The Castleford Choral Society was founded over 70 years ago and is a mixed choir of about 50 members. Many of the choir are soloists in their own right. The Society puts on an annual concert, usually in the Castleford Civic Centre in the spring. Our conductor is John Griffiths and our pianist is Claire Burden. We put on other concerts throughout the year and occasionally work with other societies and groups. Our repertoire is broad ranging from the Beatles to Bach. Our conductor has arranged and composed music especially for the choir. The cost of becoming a Patron is £15 per annum payable on November 1st. Anyone joining mid-year is asked for a reduced contribution which is calculated by the Patrons’ Secretary. Many Patrons give additional donations over and above this minimum fee. A £15 patrons’ fee can be for a husband and wife but will only attract the benefits of single patronship For an application form, contact the
