Braille Guild was formed in 1979. The aim of the group is to teach Braille code to sighted people so that they can transcribe text for local Braille readers. It became a Registered Charity in 1992.
Classes are held in Featherstone, Castleford and Pontefract.
The purpose of the Guild is to produce perfect Braille for local people whether it is for reference, education or pleasure.
