Computers and other IT equipment is collected FREE OF CHARGE from 3 local authorities, most of West Yorkshires Emergency Services, NHS Trusts, Schools and Businesses for recycling and refurbishing. Training is available to volunteers. Work placements are available to local schools.
Computers are given free of charge to charities and voluntary groups and childrens projects, and also made available at low cost to the general public. A complete computer costs just £50 including Windows. All our profits then go to registered charity Chrysalis Youth & Community Project to enable them to continue their work with dissafected or excluded young people in providing an alternative practical rather than acedemic education system.
We also provide a Hard Drive Shredding Service for anyone with highly confidential information on their drives such as certain NHS departments, local government servers and doctors surgeries. Full assistance is given with legal compliance with WEEE Directives and the Hazardous Waste Consignment regulations.
